If you’ve followed my tweets lately, you will be very familiar with this issue of Human Trafficking and slavery. Its been a topic I’ve been very passionate about ever since I read the book "Terrify No More " by Gary Haugen , president of International Justice Mission . If you haven’t read the book, you need to! I believe it is a MUST read for every human being on this earth!
There are an estimated 27 million slaves around the world today. This figure is staggering and it is at record levels! One could be forgiven for blindly believing that in our advanced and ‘civilized’ world, that ’slavery’ would be non-existant - that was a thing of the past right?? We in the western world generally aren’t personally affected by slavery so we aren’t confronted with the binding reality that it exists.
This MUST Change! And we MUST begin to CARE. I have made it part of my personal mission to use my platform as a speaker and musician to inform people of the global issues affecting us and showing them how they can get involved to eradicate and stop some of these many injustices.
Last week I tweeted about an article posted on google about HUMAN BABY FARMS IN NIGERIA. It would have to be one of the most disturbing articles I have ever read and it has haunted me this past week. Oh, the depravity of humanity when we can turn a blind eye to such horrors!
I heard something about this on the radio. I know practically nothing about it but it was so disturbing. What can we do to help??
