Over the last year and a half Lucas has worked with non-profits and business in the SF Bay Area consulting on marketing, branding, growth and multi-site strategies, while also launching a technology startup (congo.io) that automates video post-production helping consumer brands, non-profits, and small business’ share their stories faster to the world. His deep experience in storytelling, media and marketing created opportunities to work with companies like Hulu, Discovery, Gainsight, FOX news, VidCon and many more.

VENTURE CHRISTIAN CHURCH, LOS GATOS, CA


At Venture Lucas was responsible for the experience, creative, communication, production and innovation teams in this 4000+ person church across all venues (12 full time/8 part time staff). Some highlights include: Rapid turnaround of a challenged workplace culture into a vibrant, healthy and inspirational team; Increased volunteers from 60 people to 480; Donations increased over $3.5 million a year; Event attendance grew an average of 1400 people each week; Launched Creative Community leadership pipeline which trained over 800 people in the arts; Total organizational rebrand and creation of media marketing teams. Launch of innovation group building technologies for Venture’s work all around the world.

THE AFFERO PROJECT, ASHEVILLE, NC

At Affero Lucas oversaw the launch and creation of the worlds first micro-donation philanthropic technology that mobilized thousands of young people to engage in the global fight against poverty. The Affero Project produced music tours, hosted monthly educational events and deployed middle school curriculum on the issues of clean water, poverty and homelessness. The programs garnered support from 16 artists and celebrities, and won 4 Addy awards along the way.
